Terms of use

This website is operated by Elergi. By using it you agree to these terms. The site and its contents are provided for general information about our product and company.

Everything on this site, including text, design, code, and graphics, belongs to Elergi or is used with permission. You may not copy or reuse it without our consent. Some photography and video are licensed from third parties (Unsplash, Pexels) under their respective licenses.

The site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss arising from its use. We may change these terms or the site at any time.

Privacy

Elergi, in Stockholm, decides how the personal data described here is used and is the controller for it. Write to [email protected] about any of it. We are not the kind of organisation required to appoint a data protection officer and have not appointed one, so that address reaches us directly.

What we collect, and when

Only what you type into one of our forms. There are three: requesting a demo, applying for a role, and sending an open application.

• Requesting a demo takes your email address, and optionally your name, company, role, a message, and any meeting times you suggest.
• Applying takes your name and email address, and optionally a link, which role you are writing about, and a message.

Alongside each submission we store the time, the page you sent it from, and the two-letter country our host reports for the connection. We do not store your IP address, and there are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies anywhere on this site.

None of this is required of you. The forms ask for an email address because without one we cannot reply. Leave the rest blank and they still work.

Why, and on what basis

To reply to you, and to decide whether to take the conversation further. Nothing else. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to build a profile. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: ours in answering people who write to us and in running a hiring process, weighed against your interest in not being kept on file, which is why we ask for as little as we do and delete it on the schedule below.

Nothing here is decided automatically. We build AI for power systems, not for reading applications: every reply and every hiring decision is made by a person.

Who else sees it

Two suppliers, both acting on our instructions:

• Cloudflare serves this site and stores submissions in its database.
• Google receives a copy in a spreadsheet on our Google Drive, and sends us the notification email.

Both are American companies, so your data may be processed outside the EEA. Both are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has decided offers adequate protection, and our agreements with them also carry the Commission's standard contractual clauses. Nobody else receives it.

How long we keep it

• Demo and contact enquiries: twelve months after our last exchange.
• Applications: two years after the role is filled or closed. Anyone who believes a hiring decision discriminated against them has a little over two years to bring a claim, and we would need the file to answer it.

Ask and we will delete yours sooner.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy in a portable form, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict what we do with it, and object to us holding it at all. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within a month. If we handle it badly you can complain to your national data protection authority, which in Sweden is IMY.
